Jury selected November 10, 2017.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 4 years in prison.

State v. Jose Raul Urrutia, No. 1483684, Indecency with Child
Jury selected November 6-8, 2017.  Just prior to opening statements, parties reached plea bargain agreement.  Defendant pled guilty to misdemeanor offense of Injury to Child and was placed on 2 years deferred adjudication. 

State v. Jessie Earl Nicholson, No. 1488982, Murder
Jury selected July 6, 2017.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 75 years in prison.

State v. Roderick Garrett, No. 1507908, Felon in Possession of Firearm
Jury selected May 31, 2017.  Just prior to opening statements, parties reached plea bargain agreement.  Defendant pled guilty and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

State v. Happy Tran Pham, No. 1096930, Murder
Jury selected May 1, 2017.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

State v. Caleb Gasaway, No. 1494478, Robbery
Jury selected April 11, 2017.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 2 years in prison.

State v. Jaime Calzada, No 1491485, Aggravated Robbery
Jury selected April 5, 2017.  Just prior to opening statements, parties reached plea bargain agreement.  Defendant pled guilty and was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

State v. John Holt Crambell, No. 1471924, Aggravated Sexual Assault of an Adult
Jury selected March 22, 2017.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 28 years in prison.

State v. Steven Bradley, No. 149322, Injury to Child
Jury selected March 9, 2017.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 10 years probation.

State v. O'Bryant Hightower, No. 1469519, Possession of Controlled Sugstance 1-4 Grams
Jury selected February 23, 2017.  After testimony began, parties entered into plea bargain and Defendant sentenced to 90 days in the Harris County Jail.

State v. Jerry Phelps, No. 1538750, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child
Jury selected February 10, 2017.  Jury was unable to reach a verdict and Judge declared mistrial.

State v. Jesse Jude Carter, No. 1517090, Burglary of Habitation With Intent To Commit Assault
Jury selected February 6, 2017.  Defendant found guilty.  Parties entered into plea bargain for 25 years in prison.

State v. Ana Aguillon, No. 1506540, Tampering with Government Record
Jury selected November 28, 2016.  Defendant found guilty.  Judge sentenced to 3 years probation and $200 fine.

State v. Milton Cole, No. 1518549, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child
Jury selected November 10 and 11, 2016.  Defendant found guilty of lesser offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child and sentenced to 5 years in prison.

State v. Waymon Finley, No. 1485387, Aggravated Assault
Jury selected October 28, 2016.  Jury was unable to reach verdict and Judge declared mistrial. 

State v. Samuel Gallegos, No. 1452140, Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child, and No. 1452142, Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child
Jury selected October 19, 2016.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 50 years in prison and a $10,000 fine in each case.

State v. Vance Keith Richardson, No. 1469219, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child
Jury selected September 30 and October 5 and 6, 2016.  Jury was unable to reach verdict and Judge declared mistrial.

State v. Martin Gormley, No. 1469800, Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child Under 6
Jury selected August 24 and 25, 2016.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 44 years in prison.

State v. Manuel Asuncion Pena, No. 1457098, Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child
Jury selected August 3,4 and 5, 2016.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 30 years in prison and $10,000 fine.

State v. Antonio Kapukawei Lambert, No. 1429967, Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child Under 6
Jury selected June 29 and 30, 2016.  Jury was unable to reach verdict and Judge declared mistrial.  

State v. Darrick Butler, No. 1461349, Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, and No. 1461350, Indecency with Child by Contact
Jury selected June 7, 2016.  Just prior to opening statements, defendant entered plea bargain with the State.  Defendant sentenced to 2 years in prison on lesser offense of indecency with child by exposure; aggravated sexual assault of child was dismissed. 

State v. Jonathan Rawlins, No. 1471355, Murder
Jury selected April 29, 2016.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 38 years in prison.

State v. Antonio Acabal, No. 1466300, Assault of Family Member by Impeding Breathing
Jury selected April 8 and 11, 2016.  Defendant found guilty of lesser offense of assault on a family member and sentenced to 2 years probation.

State v. Juan Salas, No. 1458018, Burglary of Habitation With Intent To Commit Assault
Jury selected February 16, 2016.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 20 years in prison.

State v. Johnny Omar Rodriguez, No. 1413933, Aggravated Robbery
Jury selected January 25, 2016.  Defendant found guilty of lesser offense of aggravated assault and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

State v. Shelby Schwem, No. 1486882, Aggravated Assault
Jury selected December 3, 2015.  Jury sent note to Judge that they were unable to reach verdict.  Parties entered into plea bargain agreement for lesser offense of deadly conduct and for 6 months deferred adjudication and a $500 fine. 

State v. Daniel Moris Sanders, No. 1438488, Sexual Assault of a Child
Jury selected October 28, 2015.  Defendant found guilty.  Judge sentenced to 65 years in prison.

State v. Miguel Angel Saucedo, No. 1457905, Possession of Cocaine 1-4 Grams
Jury selected October 23, 2015.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 2 years probation.

State v. Herman Whitfield, No. 142470. Aggravated Sexual Assault
Jury selected September 14, 2015.  Defendant found guilty.  Judge sentenced to life in prison.  Defendant entered into plea bargain for life in prison in two other cases of aggravated sexual assault and one other case of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

State v. Jesus Francisco Morales, No. 1399181, Muirder
Jury selected September 14, 2015.  Defendant found guilty.  Judge sentenced to 30 years in prison.

State v. Shane Marcus Weldon, No. 1447189, Burglary of a Building
Jury selected August 24, 2015.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 20 months in the State Jail Facility and a fine of $2,500.

State v. Dennis Greer, No. 1472948, Tampering with Corpse
Jury selected August 4, 2015.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 7 years in prison. 

State v. Ricardo Lopez, No. 1391842, Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child
Jury selected July 17, 2015.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 45 years in prison.

State v. Ronald Ray Shackleford, No. 1446665, Tampering with Evidence
Jury selected July 10, 2015.  Defense motion for mistrial granted.

State v. Ever Rodriguez Gonzalez, No. 1393508, Indecency with Child by Contact
Jury selected March 23, 2015.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 2 years in prison.

State v. Bo Daniel Shafer, No. 1433928, Continuous Sexual Abuse of Child
Jury selected March 3-5, 2015.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 26 years in prison.

State v. Joseph Jackson, No. 1405970, Aggravated Assault
Jury selected December 4, 2014.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 7 years in prison.

State v. Randall Earl Henderson, No. 1401273, Aggravated Assault
Jury selected November 17, 2014.  Jury sent note to judge that they could not reach verdict.  Defendant entered into plea bargain and was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

State v. Ira Linda Kalani, No. 1423188, Aggravated Assault, and No. 1423189, Felon in Possession of Weapon
Jury selected November 10, 2014.  Jury sent note to judge that they could not reach verdict and defendant entered into plea bargain.  Aggravated assault was reduced to attempted deadly conduct and defendant sentenced to 229 days in the State Jail Facility.  Felon in possession of weapon charge was dismissed.

State v. Anthony Wayne Stephens, No. 1404672, Aggravated Assault on Family Member
Jury selected October 13, 2014.  Jury was unable to reach verdict and judge declared mistrial.

State v. Alberto Juarez, No. 1379285, Murder
Jury selected September 11, 2014.  Jury was unable to reach verdict and judge declared mistrial.

State v. Joseph Duplechin. No. 1438734,  Possession 4-200 grams
Jury selected September 8, 2014.  Jury was unable to reach verdict and judge declared mistrial.

State v. Alejandro Morales Calles, No. 1384626, Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child
Jury selected August 6, 2014.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 5 years in prison.

Jury selected June 23, 2014. Ddefendant found guilty and sentenced to 4 years in prison and $1,000 fine, with prison sentence suspended and defendant placed on 6 years probation.

State v. Mark Augustin Castellano, No. 1363068, Murder
Jury selected May 20-21, 2014.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 27 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

State v. Jon Gann, No. 1398311, Aggravated Assault
Jury selected May 2, 2014.  Defendant found guilty and sentenced to 5 years probation.

State v. Roger Earl Tarver, No. 1388905, Indecency with Child
Jury selected April 22-23, 2014.  Jury was unable to reach verdict and judge declared mistrial.

 State v. Timothy Wayne Fisher, No. 1379925, Injury To Child Causing Serious Bodily Injury
Jury selected March 31, 2014.  Defendant found guilty of recklessly causing serious bodily injury to a child and sentenced to 90 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. 

State v. Gracie Orellana, No. 1387172, Aggravated Assault on Public Servant, and No. 1387173, Aggravated Assault on Public Servant
Jury selected March 3, 2014.  Defendant found guilty in both cases.  Defendant sentenced to 10 years probation and a $10,000 fine in No. 1387172 and 10 years probation and a $5,000 fine in No. 1387173.

State v. Bobby Eugene Easley, No. 1376456, Aggravated Robbery

Jury selected February 26, 2014.  Defendant pled guilty to jury and was sentenced to 14 years in prison. 

State v. David Arthur Horn, No. 1380982, Aggravated Assault
Jury selected February 20, 2014.  Jury sent note to Judge that they were deadlocked.  Defendant entered into plea bargain and was sentenced to 4 days in jail on lesser offense of assault.

State v. Antonio Bermudez, No. 1370940, Aggravated Assault on Family Member
Jury selected January 31, 2014. Defendant found guilty. Judge sentenced to 60 years in prison.
