Defendants on bond- Your appearance can be waived for non-essential settings but you must have good communication with your Attorney!
The Court is open to the public but we do have a current capacity limit of 63 including staff. Family accompanying defendants on bond may be asked to wait in the hallway if we are over the limit.

Defense Attorneys- our docket starts at 10am but State is available to conference at 9am. If your client is in custody please make an in-person appearance. Plea papers have to be completed electronically via the kiosk no matter if the defendant is on bond or in custody. Bond clients must make a physical appearance in order to plea. For probation pleas, a TRAS must be completed beforehand unless the charges are reduced to a misdemeanor and the plea agreement is for a probation less than 2 years.

The Clerks are not allowed by their office to obtain the defendant's signature. Please refer to the hccla.org website for assistance with completing plea papers electronically for defendants on bond. You may also use the laptop located in the Courtroom.
