FOR THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR COURT AND THOSE WHO COME INTO TO THE COURT

 

All persons entering the Court must sit 6 feet apart and shall be dispersed through the Court room.

 

No one shall be allowed within 6 feet of the:

Judge’s bench

Clerk’s desk

Coordinator’s desk

Court Reporter’s desk

The Bailiff’s desk

 

All persons shall use hand sanitizer before asking to approach these areas and may be asked to put on disposable gloves.

 

Persons who appear sick may be asked additional questions and may be subject to further protective measures. 

 

IF YOU ARE SICK PLEASE STAY HOME AND CONTACT THE COURT FOR A RESET.

ANYONE REQUESTING A RESET WILL BE GIVEN ONE AND THE TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE ORDER WILL BE EXTENDED TO THE DATE OF THE HEARING

 

IF THERE ARE ADDITIONAL ISSUES WITHIN A TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE ORDER SUCH AS ACCESS TO CHILDREN THE ATTORNEYS/PARTIES SHALL EITHER WORK THOSE

ISSUES OUT ON THEIR OWN OR THE HAVE A TELECONFERENCE WITH THE COURT AS THE COURT SCHEDULE ALLOWS.

All compliance hearings from 03/13/2020 through 04/30/2020 will be canceled until further notice.


Please do not send a communication to the court without including the other party/attorney to the case.  It is improper exparte communication, even if it is with the a court staff.


Please do NOT bring children under (18 yrs.) to our court unless Judge Stalder orders.

Please note that our court will be taking the following dead weeks off:

State Bar Conference week of June 22, 2020.

                                                  READ PRIOR TO ENTERING COURTROOM


1.  RECORDING IN THE 280TH FAMILY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COURT IS PROHIBITED.  “RECORDING” MEANS: PHOTOGRAPHY, AUDIO RECORDING OR VIDEO RECORDING BY ANY MEANS.

2.  PLEASE TURN OFF ALL ELECTRONICS AND NOISEMAKING DEVICES INCLUDING CELL PHONES AND TABLETS PRIOR TO ENTERING THE COURTROOM.


    ATTORNEYS MAY KEEP THEIR CELL PHONES, LAPTOPS, AND TABLETS OPERATIONAL, BUT MUST BE ON SILENT MODE WHILE IN THE  COURTROOM.

3.  ONLY MINORS THAT ARE LITIGANTS MAY ENTER THE COURT ROOM.  ALL OTHER MINORS MUST SEE THE COURT COORDINATOR (ELSA RAMIREZ) PRIOR TO ENTERING THE COURT ROOM.

4.  NO EATING FOOD, CHEWING GUM OR DRINKING BEVERAGES EXCEPT WATER IS ALLOWED IN THE COURTROOM BY LITIGANTS.  IF YOU HAVE GUM PLEASE WRAP IT IN TISSUE AND DISPOSE OF IT IN A TRASH CAN.


    ATTORNEYS MAY BRING COFFEE OR OTHER BEVERAGE WITH A LID.

5.  PLEASE TAKE ALL CONVERSATIONS TO THE HALLWAY, INCLUDING ANY NEGOTIATIONS. ATTORNEYS, IF YOU NEED A PRIVATE SPACE TO SPEAK WITH THE OPPOSING COUNSEL PLEASE SEE THE COURT COORDINATOR.

6.  IF YOU ARE A RESPONDENT FOR PROTECTIVE ORDER PLEASE CHECK IN WITH THE BAILIFF OR COURT COORDINATOR BEFORE SITTING DOWN IN THE COURTROOM.

7.  IF YOU ARE AN APPLICANT FOR PROTECTIVE ORDER PLEASE SEE BAILIFF OR COURT COORDINATOR FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS.  DO NOT SIT DOWN IN THE COURTROOM UNLESS YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO.
